About Mount Hope Family Dentistry

General Dentistry. Previous practices of Dr. Johnston and Dr. Crane.

Located at 1850 W Mt Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910, Mount Hope Family Dentistry operates as a dental clinic serving Lansing in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In Lansing, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Michigan, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Mount Hope Family Dentistry at (517) 482-8466; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, mounthopedentistry.com.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 40 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Lansing is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Lansing follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was disappointed that X-rays were required for an appointment specially for cleaning. A skilled dentist should be able to assess a patient’s needs through a thorough clinical examination, not rely solely on imaging. Unnecessary radiation exposure is a valid concern, and I expect better judgment from a dental practice. Shame on them!! I won’t be returning.

Dr. Bo is wonderful and very professional. She had smoothed over some issues I had with the front desk staff yesterday and I wasn’t going to write a review until I spoke with the front desk again today. The front desk staff need training. They are unorganized, unprofessional, and immature. I answered a call to confirm my appointment the day before. Had a whole conversation with the woman about my appointment and my son’s. Then I get a call again. I answered and she wanted to confirm my appointment. She forgot we had just spoke? She apologized but then proceeded to call me 2 more times that day. The 2 voicemails were to confirm my appointment. When checking in, she wanted me to complete forms in a tablet. She set it up and handed it to me. It was set up for a different person - like a completely different name. It showed all of her information like SSN, address, phone number, etc. I returned it to the woman and told her and she acted like it was not a big deal that she had just handed over private information on another patient. This is very concerning and a main reason I won’t be returning to this office. My son’s appointment was booked at 3 and I had mentioned that it was big

Been going to Mount Hope Family Dentistry for years. Dr Gerald crane was fantastic I hated to see him retire. Today May 6th 2026 I went in to get my teeth cleaned. Doctor Bojana Bojovk is very rude. She came in after my cleaning to look at my teeth do the doctors examination. She asked who did the terrible repair on one of my teeth. I informed her it was done in her office 2 years ago. If the doctor at this business thinks my tooth had shabby work done by her staff, why would I continue to go back? Needless to say after 14 years of using this dentist office, 11 years with Dr Crane who I loved, 3 years with the new rude ownership that I don't care for other than my dental hygienist, who was fantastic. Needless to say I'll be looking for a new dentist. I feel like this place is nothing but a money grab. Now that I think about it. My ex-girlfriends son Houston is autistic. Houston has been seen by Dr crane from the time he was very little 3 years old Houston's now 31. Houston's last visit to Dr crane his teeth were in excellent shape. Houston went in for his 6-month check up under the new ownership of this dentist office. I was waiting outside in my vehicle for Houston's cleaning to b

Very disappointed in the way this office handles their customer service. We’ve had multiple important appointments cancelled or moved around/back without being asked. When my brother who had just within a month or two had a crown done, had the crown shatter while just eating something soft the customer service was very lacking. The original apt that was on a Thursday was cancelled (by the practice). When I called to reschedule the apt, I was accused of lying and told they would never cancel an apt. The rescheduling process was also extremely frustrating and the wrong tx plan was pulled up multiple times. Finally we managed to get another apt scheduled not for the crown to be fixed but for another limited appointment. We’ve also had issues in the past with them filling a tooth that was supposed to be extracted and the only explanation we were offered was that β€œthe treatment plan was read wrong”. I understand that the Dr who originally did the crown is no longer in on Thursday's however I fail to understand why that means we absolutely can not see another doctor as the crown breaking was not our fault. Edit : was also just made aware that we where not even told abt the wrong tooth be

Going to the dentist can bring a scary experience. I havnt been in 20yrs, but recently I decided I have to toughen up and go in. Glad I did. They were so friendly and didnt try to over sell me anything. The doctor dentist gentleman was fantastic. The shot in my mouth I didnt even feel. I had 4 cavities taken care of. Wasnt that bad at all.I would recommend just making a appointment and going in!
